Suspend

Charlie felt his whole life was like being suspended over flames.
He could swing away, but always he returned to the hottest of the heat.

must be one of my favorites on your blog. I love the textures, and the darks and oranges all charred up and grinding away at him.
That's quite an uncomfortable statement about poor Charlie, it's a good thing that his angel is around there to push him away from the flames now and again.
(or do I have it wrong? Is the angel always keeping him facing the furnace? geez, I hope not.)

very powerful piece, Bill.

Really outstanding, Bill. The textures are great and the image itself is a poignant view of man's daily struggle on earth. More, please!
