Espresso Macchiato

I have discovered the Espresso Macchiato! Wow, what an intense rush of flavor and caffeine.  This drink has just a dab of streamed milk on espresso  and at some establishments is served with a small glass of soda water.  Stumptown Coffee, Lord Windsor, and Portola Coffee Lab all served me a excellent one.  Be careful for this drink is pure and powerful and has nothing to do with the Caramel Macchiato served at Starbucks.
