Wintergreen Transfer

I’ve been playing with a transfer technique using oil of Wintergreen. I scan my image, tweak in Photoshop, and print using a Xerox Phazer color printer. Then I transfer the image using oil of wintergreen to plate finish Bristol board. I transfer b/w Xeroxes as well. The above image is one example. I scanned this image and messed with the levels a bit. Peace.

So this bird...

So this bird keeps showing up in my work. I know it’s trying to tell me something. But what? There is a division often between the thoughts in my head and the here and now. I notice this when walking the dog. I’ll be lost in the troubles in my mind, and then my eye will catch the glimpse of the morning light reflecting off a house, a tree. I’m then brought into the beauty of the moment. This is great, but how to reconcile the mind with the now?

Harvey

There is a bit of Harvey in me. Although when I just listen to the inner compass and take the proper action it advises, all is well.

Thomas & Paul

As a kid I was told not to stare. I don't stare to be rude, I am just fascinated by the variety of faces, people and things in the world. I love the mysterious wonder of it all.

Red

Strong red backgrounds have captured my imagination. Just a feeling of a fleeting thought. Red, with the emotion, without the anger.
