Silver Lake View

I was in Silver Lake (between downtown Los Angeles and Hollywood) where I parked on a hill, in a quiet neighborhood, thinking I would walk down to Sunset Blvd. and order an expensive coffee from a hip cafe.  I waited a moment before getting out of the car, a mother and infant walked past.  This allowed me to inhale and enjoy the view.  The sketchbook opened, marks were made.  The seat went back.  I napped. I awoke thinking that this was the best expensive hip coffee that I had ever had.

Beijing Experiance

For 5 days I worked with Art and Design students from China developing their projects.  It was an intense, rewarding experience.  I had very little time to draw, but I managed to sneak in a few.

Random Fragments

Man enjoying cigar. I was enjoying a vegetable juice.

The inner paranoia finds its way into  the margins when I'm not looking.

Thoughts of a Octo-Character and an Octo-Toy.
The flow of life is rushing, rushing, rushing forward.  I want to stop, but I'm in the middle of the pulling, pounding, turbulence.  These are some fragments of the journey.

Philosophy in Barrel

The Greek philosopher Diogenes lived in a Barrel, well really a jar, and gave us the Cynic philosophy. He would carry a lamp in daylight and cry out, "I'm looking for a honest man."  His response to Plato giving Socrates' definition that men are featherless bipeds was give Plato a plucked chicken and say, "Behold! I've brought you a man."
