 Each day the beginner risks walking off into the unknown which is both exciting and scary and promises an expanded experience of life.

Beautiful.
I like all the sketches as well... what's nicely effective is the play between opacity and transparency, works well for the subject and it's certain uncertainty.
uh... he might try swapping out those clod hoppers for a nice pair of pointe shoes.

Haha! Very funny and uplifting, Bill. I love the teeny beenie on his head. That will surely give him the lift he's waiting for. The clod hoppers are hilarious. The pilot's left shoe looks like the velvety nose of a horse.

Love it. I like perspective in all but like it best in the bottom sketch. The sense aspiration is wonderful and the idea of invention is nicely illustrated.
